After the turkey!

GINGER - cutest dog ever!

Hi all! We had a most wonderful Thanksgiving. I still have to work on the picture uploads, so for now, words will have to do! My niece, Helen, arrived from Dallas and we celebrated Thanksgiving as a family. There were 10 of us - me, my husband, my 3 boys, my parents, my sister (Helen's mother), Helen and my dear friend, Marcia. All 3 of my boys had sung at 3 different church services in the morning, so we were very busy with that, and getting ready for the feast! Everything turned out great - I think it was the best ever! The rest of the weekend was quite relaxing - NO SHOPPING! We had tickets to a Minnesota Gopher men's hockey game (thanks Julie!) and a travelling basketball bowling party on Sunday. It snowed a little on Saturday night, so the 2 younger boys headed over to the golf course to sled on hole #9! Now the fun begins with Christmas! Hopefully, we can get our tree and such this weekend. We have 2 basketball tournament for H and Big C (that's the oldest and middle guys). I am going to "try" paddle tennis starting tomorrow! Believe it or not, it's done outside on heated courts (keep in mind that I live in Minnesota)! I'll let you all know how that goes. It's a Tuesday morning league that is just starting. It could be quite fun! Our week ahead is busy, as usual. Tonight and Tuesday are our busiest nights. All 3 boys have basketball practice tonight, and 2 have choir tomorrow, followed by 2 having basketball practice after that. And so it goes! I am so thankful that my brother-in-law is safe in India. We have been praying for him, and for the country of India. I have been to Mumbai and stayed in the Oberoi/Trident (formerly a Hilton). I have eaten at Cafe Leopold's. It is a horrible tragedy. We all have so much to be thankful for and events like this can help us all to remember that. So, for now - thanks for checking my blog out. I promise to try and get the picture thing down, and also to respond to your kind entries!
